But my choice (and this may be because I tend to lean towards less traditional colour stories) would be the Reflex Light palette. I’ve seen these pop up at local drugstores, so they should be available in store for you to take a look at in-person. I would pull the matte browns and taupes from the Natural Beauty palette (like Soft Brown, Chocolate Brown and Deep Taupe) as transition shades, but keep the fiery yellows, reds and golds from the Reflex Light palette. While I do have a preference among the two palettes, I wish I could combine them into one super palette. While I did top off the centre lid colour with my fingertip, the rest of the look was done with brushes, and you can still see the sun-inspired colours. Such power! Although metallics and shimmers always swatch better with the finger than they do with a brush, these shadows still performed well when applied with a brush. But I’m completely happy applying a shimmer as a transition shade – why not, right?Īs you can see in the arm swatches, they swatched with my fingers beautifully. The Reflex Light palette is interesting because all 12 shades are metallics, which is a bold choice because there is are neutral matte shades to use as transition colours. Although some shades ended up working for the look, they just didn’t perform like they should have. The shade Sheer Sand completely disappeared, even when I tried to layer the finger swatch. I also found that the shimmers weren’t as strong as I wanted them to be. While the darker shimmers near the bottom were great to darken up the crease, the shimmer disappeared as I blended with my brush. You can see in the arm swatches how the mattes kind of fade off, which I also found when I applied to my eyes, as the colour sort of blended away. It reminded me or Urban Decay’s original Naked palette, but with more a difficult shadow formula. But the colour story in this palette wasn’t anything groundbreaking. I appreciate that this palette had a few mattes because I believe every well-rounded palette needs a few matte shades. It contains a few mattes, one metallic and a bunch of shimmers. Starting off with the more subdued of the two palettes, this is Natural Beauty. They come housed in Pixi’s traditional pistachio green plastic packaging with a clear window to show the shadows. The Eye Reflection Shadow Palettes each contain 12 shadows, totalling 16.5 grams of product.

I’ve tried Pixi Beauty’s Glow Tonic Pads before and loved Pixi Beauty’s liquid lipstick, so I’m excited to try more of their products. Today I have two brand new palettes, courtesy of Pixi Beauty.
